SatisifedMar 06, 2011
By G. L. West I have purchased several of these booklets from the Story Country Wisdom series. They by-and-large are ALL good and I have not been dissatisifed with even one of them. They are simplistic in that they are easy to read and understand, yet are very useful. Sadly much of the old art of medicines/home remedy styles, food preprations such as drying foods, and much other preparedness and survival knowledge have been lost with time. Story has preserved alot of it and is passing it on to us...and if I may add...at what I believe is a fair price. I say buy up with confidence.

Get rid of unwanted pests!Jul 30, 2010

I have only been gardening about 5 years and still get bugs that I can't identify and don't know how to get rid of or control so I picked up this guide. GREAT guide. Lists the bugs that get specific plants and tells you how you can control them or get rid of them. Love it!

Clear and conciseAug 03, 2008
By Fletch No nonsense, practical-sounding ideas on dealing with rabbits, groundhog, woodchuck, birds, moles, deer, raccoons, opossum, squirrels, mice, skunks and slugs. Some ideas are time-honored and tested true; others I have no personal experience with. I DO know that electro-net fencing works well against almost every varmint listed above, except for birds, slugs and moles. I love the electro-netting and also recommend this little book for some very good advice. I loved the response from our local feed store's owner, when asked how she deals with rabbits in her garden, she said she just makes sure to plant enough for them too! Good luck.

no new informationJan 01, 2012
By Angela M. Scanlan I opened my package and pulled out this book and it has very little new information than what I already knew. Very disappointed with this book. I'd advise not to buy it.
