Don't buy Marijuana Horticulture as book to read. Buy this one instead. Marijuana Horticulture is a great reference but you won't use all the things in it, even if your planning a huge operation. This book is easy to read. Gives better step by step information, in a more organized format. What I really liked was the photos and descriptions of what the plants should look like during the bloom stage at various time. LED lights which are the way to go are covered here. LEDs are not covered in the big book.

Just read through this... there isn't much more in this book that you can't find in Jorge's other book Marijuana Horticulture. That book is much larger and more comprehensive and includes the majority of the information found in this Grow Basics book... Nice pics though.

This book is great for anyone wanting to do private growing. I did a bit of research before choosing this one and I think I made the right choice. The pictures are excellent and he doesn't get into too much technical writing which keeps it really basic for beginners. I highly recommend this book if you have no idea where to start.

I love this book. It is full of really nice pics that are very helpful to any grower. There are a lot of sample gardens to mimic, this book also contains all the info needed to set up a garden anywhere. I also have Marijuana Horticulture the indoor medical grower's bible and love it but this book offers all the same important info along with better pictures. This book also has information on grow "tents/labs/cabinets" unlike the bible. Jorge Cervantes' books have been very helpful to me and countless number of friends. I would recommend this book and the bible to anyone interested in herbal medication cultivation. However, if you could only afford one book, I would have to say that this one is best because of the pictures and grow tent information. Jorge Cervantes for those of you who do not know is the master in cultivation. He is very knowledgeable in this area and is considered to be a legend! Viva la Jorge Cervantes!

I've always loved the Sacred Herb, so I was in the bookstore looking at books about it and came across this one, I wasn't sure yet if I wanted to actually try growing it, but I figured the book would be interesting to read nonetheless, so I bought it. Read it in a few days from cover to cover, and was completely convinced I could grow it with ease, now I have his other book(and a small plant growing outside), Mariuana Horticulture, which is just as good, just ALOT more information to take in. This book is great for the beginner who has never tried growing canabiss before, and has all the information you need to grow your first crop from seed to harvest. I would reccomend it for anyone even remotely interested in the process of growing your own medical or recreational marijuana.
